OK, so California wasn't too bad. Some of the highlights were:
- I had an AMAZING sushi dinner with my brother and his fiance in Little Tokyo. There were pieces of nigiri that the sushi chef would not allow you to dip in soy sauce - we are talking fresh fish! Of course, it's always nice to visit with Crazy Uncle D, as MartiniDad calls him. He's in the BIZ so I love to hear his stories - if you think you work with crazy people, you should speak with someone who works in Hollywood. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I couldn't commemorate the evening.
- The weather was cool, which felt so refreshing compared to the inferno in Atlanta right now - they call it Hotlanta for a reason!
- The dinner/booze cruise with work people was lovely. The scenery was just gorgeous and I got to hear about the time one of my colleagues hitchhiked through California in the 60's (he told the story after a few martinis)

- Oh yeah, and I had a great meeting and it was a good chance to connect with my global colleagues (in case you were wondering, the guy in the lilac pants is from Europe)

- MartiniDad and our wonderful nanny did a great job of holding down the fort. #1Son didn't miss a beat and even recognized me when I got home. Thankfully, he still appears to love me and know I'm his mother.
You look so pretty in your fall clothing. Fall clothing! I am so jealous. Glad to hear it was an OK time. Also, you could be away for six months and Miles would still know you, love you and identify you as his #1 Mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
