About four months ago, #1Wife was out of town when I was faced with a dilemma. The Boy would theoretically sleep for 12 hours - from 7P to 7A - but would wake up in the middle of the night because, well, he peed his way through everything he was wearing. It was...gross.
So what do you do? Bigger diaper, right? Tried that.
Bigger diaper, different kind with special nighttime thingee on it, right? No dice.
Finally, like an apple hitting me in the head (but instead of an apple it was a tube of butt paste being thrown at me at 4 in the morning), I had an epiphany. Two diapers. One on top of the other. How does it work?
Start with one clean ducky baby.
Use one standard size four Pampers diaper as the primary liner. We like these because they are fairly thin - they are our go-to day-to-day diaper. Butt paste tubes, by the way, are great toys in addition to being fantastic projectiles.
Wrap with one Huggies size four overnight. Bigger. Bulkier. Real staying power, in my opinion.
Presto.
Hand to Mamma. Drink bottle. Go to bed. Note the passing resemblance to Vito Corleone - gesture wise, at least.
